At Higher Drift on the top of a small hill is this fine pair of standing stones. Known as the Two Sisters, Higher Drift menhirs or the Trigganeris Stones they almost face each other in a NW to SE alignment 18 feet (5.5m) apart. The southern sister stands at nine feet (2.7m) with the northern sister shorter at seven feet four inches (2.3m).
In 1871 WC Borlase described in his 'Naenia Cornubiae' how he found an empty grave between the sisters almost at right angles to their alignment and slightly to the east.
