This burial chamber is probably the most famous Dolmen in Wales, it is the largest with the 18 ft long capstone poised on the point of three uprights disguising its colossal weight. Once these chambers were covered up to the capstone forming a mound with an entrance at one end to the last resting place for our Neolithic ancestors. The entrances remained open allowing access for many generations to revisit their antecedants until at some point being sealed with a blocking stone.
